The cultural exchange between the U.S. and France extends to a single-day hackathon on Saturday, Feb. 24. Actually, The French Embassy is sponsoring the third annual event, which focuses on higher education and studying abroad, especially in the U.S.
Teams will be tasked to build a marketing campaign to educate, engage and inform French students about the allure of studying away from home.

“[Y]our pitch must lead with a strategy or and plan that is both researched and thoughtful,” according to the event announcement. “How will their team execute on this plan? What are unexplored opportunities in this industry? What has worked for others? What are the most obtainable goals? Where can we innovate? These questions should be answered in your pitch.”
The hackathon will be held at General Assembly, and begin at 9:30 a.m. after a short intro from French Embassy University attache Christel Outreaman. Teams will then show their work in six-minute intervals at 7 p.m.
The winning team will get a chance to have their project funded by the French Embassy.
