Upskillthe Herndon, Va.-based company that makes augmented reality software to help manufacturers do safe and timely work, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Austin, Texas-based Pristine. Pristine works in a similar space, providing “AR collaboration and video streaming software” to enterprise customers, according to a press release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pristine’s flagship product is called EyeSight — it provides “see-what-I-see” video streaming capacities for smart glasses and other hardware platforms. Pristine also has a big-name client list that includes Coca-Cola, Bayer and The Hershey Company, all of which will be brought to Upskill.

Upskill, of course, is known for its Skylight product that allows workers an “assisted” view of their projects.

“With these combined capabilities, Upskill now powers an unparalleled suite of applications covering complex assembly, process management, service, inspection, material handling and logistics,” Dr. Magid Abraham, executive chairman of Upskill, said in a statement. “Further, we can offer even more flexibility to our customers in how they create and support a connected workforce across their operations.”

The acquisition news comes about a month after Upskill raised a Series B of an undisclosed amount. The company rebranded from its previous name (APX Labs) in January. Under the terms of the acquisition, Upskill will now have a third office located in Austin.
