Three years in and DCFemTech’s annual awards just keep getting bigger.
Recall — the awards began in 2015 as a way to recognize Powerful Women Programmers. Then, in 2016, organizers added a category for female designers. 2017’s addition? Great female data scientists.

Other than the added category, the awards will run in much the same way as years past. Know an awesome woman working as a designer, developer or data scientist? Nominate her! Are you an awesome woman working as a designer, developer or data scientist? Nominate yourself! Qualifications are pretty straight forward: “Nominees should be women in the metro DC area who code OR design OR manipulate data on a regular basis.”
All nominations are due by March 24, and winners will be announced in April. Then it’ll be time to celebrate all these accomplished women at a reception. And, well, in our experience it’s always a good time.
