How can D.C. be better? How can its government be more responsive and its streets safer? These are some of the questions D.C.’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer is asking for feedback on via the upcoming #SaferStrongerSmarterDC hackathon.
And it’s not just OCTO — a bunch of agencies are joining the hackathon, including The Metropolitan Police Department, the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety & Justice, the DC Department of Transportation, the Office of the City Administrator and more. And organizers are hoping to see a broad range of District residents join as well — from civic hackers to universities to neighborhood residents.

The daylong hackathon takes place March 4 at MakeOffices’ new K Street location.
