Delaware rolled out its DE WINS! initiative last week, with prizes including cash, college tuition, Funland packages and low-digit license plates for randomly selected vaccinated Delawareans. You should be seeing more smaller incentives as well, as $5,000 DE Wins! small business grants are being awarded to 200 Delaware businesses to reimburse them for offering incentive discounts and freebies for vaccinated patrons.

“Delaware’s small business community has shown a real enthusiasm for participating in the program,” said Jordan Schulties, director of the Division of Small Business, in a statement. “The Division is administering the grant program, including evaluating the proposed promotions. The number of businesses that want to offer incentives, as well as the creativity the business owners have shown in designing promotions that appeal to their customers, is impressive. Small businesses stepped up during the pandemic to serve their customers. Now they’re helping once again by giving their customers another reason to get vaccinated.”

You can keep track of these offerings on the DE WINS! partners map, a regularly updated interactive map of participating businesses.
