PowerUp Reentry: A Digital Solutions Day is a three-day hackathon that aims to help break the cycle of recidivism.

Put forth by the Reentry Project — an alliance of 15 newsrooms including our sister site, Generocity — the hackathon looks to find digital, cross-sector solutions to help keep formerly incarcerated people from returning to the system.

Happening Oct. 20-21 at Center City’s Industrious, the event is produced by Code for Philly. The door is open for all: Journalists, technologists, City officials and formerly incarcerated people can join in to help bring solutions to an issue often overlooked.
