Camden is doing its own thing for Social Media Day

Mashable’s Social Media Day has a big presence in Philly this week — on both sides of the Delaware River to boot.

While Philly PR firm Slice Communications is hosting an all-day Philly shindig on Thursday, a handful of Jersey companies are putting together the inaugural Social Media Day New Jersey in Camden.

(The South Jersey city has been seeing an uptick in startup and tech activity in recent months.)

Brand Enchanting Media LLC (the self-billed “pied pipers of brand marketing”), Cooper’s Ferry Partnership and Waterfront Ventures are organizing the event, which will feature a keynote presentation by Michelle Davis, president of the American Marketing Association of New Jersey.

The event is happening at the Waterfront Technology Center in Camden.

Nichelle Pace, president of Brand Enchanting Media said the event’s goal is to celebrate the latest advancements in the wold of social media while showcasing the innovations happening locally.
