In February, REACH Riverside and Wilmington It’s Time presented the first in a series of two virtual panels called “Celebrating Black Excellence in Wilmington, Delaware.”
The first panel was hosted by Logan Herring, CEO of The WRK Group — REACH Riverside, The Warehouse and Kingswood Community Center. The conversation featured Jahmere Hargraves, Markevis Gideon, Ray Rhodes and Aaron Bass discussing their experiences in Wilmington from a Black male perspective. Watch that event here.
This month, in honor of Women’s History Month, part two will feature an all-women panel on Thursday, March 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. “Celebrating Female Black Excellence in Wilmington, Delaware” will be hosted by Kenyetta McCurdy-Byrd, COO of The WRK Group. The panel will discuss personal experiences of growing up in Wilmington and its future.
