Philly GiveCamp is this weekend in Malvern

Philly GiveCamp, the annual nonprofit hackathon, starts today at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday afternoon.
The hackathon is taking place at Microsoft’s Malvern office, and will host thirty nonprofits and 100 civic hackers. Some of those nonprofits include Project HOPE, Operation Jack Autism Foundation, the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia and the Chester County Improvement Project. Registration is closed.
The Philly-area nonprofits will be receiving data collection services, web and app development, software solutions — pretty much any tech need that developers and designers can provide to help them further their social mission.
According to a Philly GiveCamp press release, last year’s hackathon saved over 25 nonprofits approximately $135K in technology resource costs. Philly GiveCamp organizer Kayla Heineman says the nonprofits were most in need of website development.
