Delcastle Technical High School in Wilmington has been selected as one of just 13 schools nationwide to host amateur radio contacts with the International Space Station (ISS) later this year.
According to Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS), a cooperative venture of international Amateur Radio societies and the space agencies that support the International Space Station, NASA will schedule contact between students and a member of the ISS crew. NASA astronauts expected to be on the ISS in late 2018 include Serena Auñón-Chancellor and Nick Hague.
