The Super Bowl victory celebrations aren’t over yet. On Saturday, March 31 from 1:00–2:30 p.m., Eagles running back and Wilmington native Wendell Smallwood is coming home for a party hosted by Mayor Mike Purzycki at Kingswood Community Center.

A special announcement about Wilmington’s youth will be part of the festivities, along with food, music and giveaways.

Kingswood CC, located near the Riverside projects, has one of the city’s most innovative inner-city youth programs, having launched Delaware’s first Coded by Kids program earlier this year.

This event is free and open to the community.

Smallwood attended Red Lion Academy in Bear and Eastern Christian Academy in Elkton before being recruited by West Virginia University. He was drafted as a rookie by the Eagles in 2016.
