The good news is that Philadelphia Parking Authority plans to pilot a mobile payment system for parking. No more running out to feed the meter or cursing the kiosks that don’t work.
The bad news is that it’s going to take a while. The PPA is preparing request-for-proposal guidelines for the pilot, the Daily News reported, and the city procurement process can take a while.
You can, however, use your smartphone to pay for parking at Parkway Corporation‘s 11 lots around the city.
