Calling all web devs: here’s a new meetup for you

The Wilmington Web Devs meetup has already amassed 60 devs before hosting its first session.

There’s a number of pretty solid tech meetups in the Wilmington area right now. In a small community like Delaware, it’s important to not duplicate efforts but complement them with something new and different. This is what two local web developers and Mill members, Thomas Marks and Mark Eckman, plan on doing with their new Wilmington Web Devs meetup.
What does the group plan on accomplishing with this meetup? Here’s what Marks had to say on the Mill’s public Slack last Thursday:

We’re trying to attract a broad range of developers who work with many different languages such a Javascript, Python, PHP, etc. We’re using Web Development as a unifying theme as most people we meet: a) are working in it b) started in the web dev sphere new messages. All levels are welcome and we’re aiming to provide many education talks from introductions to technologies to the occasional deep dive into a specific subject.

The group is hosting its inaugural meetup during Delaware Innovation Week on Nov. 16 at noon. It’s at The Mill, of course. The organizers would like to kindly remind everyone that it’s a lunchtime meeting, but lunch won’t be provided. So make sure to eat lunch before you attend or pack your own.
