DevFest DC 2025: AI Edition is set to welcome over 800 passionate developers to Fuse at Mason Square in Arlington this Friday, Oct. 3, for a full day of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, professional networking and hands-on learning. 

Organized by Google Developer Groups Washington DC, GDG Annapolis and DC Startup & Tech Week, this marks the 13th year of the region’s premier developer conference.

This year’s AI focus is designed with one goal in mind: mastering the skills to build and scale with artificial intelligence.

We’ll have more than 20 sessions across five content rooms focusing on specialized tracks in AI, Data Science, Cloud Technologies, Programming, vibe coding and emerging tech trends.

Meet a fighter pilot AI expert, a Google developer advocate and an IBM Champion

We’ve lined up some incredible speakers to share their insights. Our opening keynote will be delivered by Yufeng Guo, developer advocate from Google.  He’s a renowned expert in machine learning and AI development and will share the latest on Google’s AI ecosystem. 

DevFest DC brings Missy Cummings, one of the US Navy’s first female fighter pilots and an engineering and robotics professor at George Mason University, to talk about human-AI Interaction. Cummings is considered an international expert and leader in the field of autonomous systems and  recently served as the senior safety advisor to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

We’ll also be joined by Kiruthika Subramani, a google developer expert in AI and an IBM Champion for data and AI. She’s authored two AI books and recently won the Women in AI scholarship award.

Join an Agentic AI hackathon, a startup pitch and lots of networking

This full day of comprehensive learning also includes the Agentic AI Challenge hackathon, which challenges attendees to build an agent-based business use case on the Google Agentic platform.

The full day will have:

  • Interactive code labs for practical skill development.
  • Startup pitch for founders to pitch to a room full of developers
