The long–awaited arrival of Counsl in Delaware has been modified. The company has changed its name to CorpTech.
Counsl will now become one of the many products CorpTech will be offering. (The company streamlines the incorporation process for other businesses.) This will be one of steps the company is taking before it comes to Delaware.
“We’re differentiating ourselves because we’re going to provide the most amazing experience our customers have ever had,” said cofounder JC Glancy. “We’ve created ways for our clients to have a new different experience when dealing with this terribly boring mundane thing.”
He described the name change as a “growth pivot,” referring to a concept in Eric Ries’ The Lean Startup.
The app officially launches today and is currently available in the iTunes app store for download. It includes features like on-demand chat with a team of industry experts, automated compliance reminders and notifications and real-time progress tracking.

Glancy and fellow cofounder Raphael Lopez plan to have an employee working out of The Mill by the beginning of 2017 but will be in Wilmington later this month in hopes of meeting with what they described as “the big four law firms.”
