Meet Tapp Network, a future Mill tenant

Joe DiGiovanni and Kyle Barkins have been growing the Wilmington digital marketing company for four years. Here's what they're all about.

We mentioned Tapp Network recently when we were talking about Wilmington’s new open data website, which they created.
And just who (or what) is Tapp? It’s a four-year-old digital marketing company based in Wilmington, and it’ll soon be a tenant at the new coworking space The Mill.
Delawareans Joe DiGiovanni and Kyle Barkins founded it because they saw a lack of options that linked marketing, sales and technology, DiGiovanni said.
“That’s what our secret sauce is, we came together to fill that need,” he said.
The company — which has grown to six people — builds websites for clients and continuously works with them in updating the latest apps and tools (think HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks) instead of waiting for 6-month or yearly upgrades. The goal, DiGiovanni said, is to create online strategies the produce more traffic and convert to more leads and sales.
Half of their clients are B2B companies while the other half are nonprofits, he said. That includes local groups like Tech Impact and Zip Code Wilmington and others around the country like TrafficCast and Nonstop Wellness.
But Tapp wasn’t always focused on nonprofits.
It wasn’t until last year that they were at a tech week for nonprofits in San Francisco, and DiGiovanni and Barkins realized nonprofits were struggling to convert business from their websites.
Now, DiGiovanni said, a lot of their clients are B2B companies who want to target nonprofits.
He said he’s proud of Tapp’s growth and is excited to join The Mill in April. “We’ve assembled a really great team here and will continue to bring business to the city.”
