Not only is Maven Security Consulting founder David Rhoades a cybersecurity expert, but he’s also apparently an organizational necromancer.
A little over a year ago, Rhoades resurrected the Delaware chapter of OWASP (Online Web Application Security Project), with sponsorships from Wilmington University, Maven Security and 1313 Innovation. Last spring, Rhoades informed Technical.ly Delaware of his intentions to continue raising awareness around cybersecurity in Delaware by bringing his 126 member-strong meetup to the University of Delaware.
Well, he’s done it. The next OWASP Meetup (Tuesday, Oct. 6) will be held at UD, which has just agreed to sponsor the organization by donating meeting space on the campus’ Evans Hall.
