WeWork bets on a Philly location
Five months after filing for bankruptcy and downsizing its local footprint, WeWork just confirmed it’s keeping its lease for the space at 1100 Ludlow St. in Center City.
The global coworking operator once had five Philly locations, but closed various spots over the years. Most recently, the company stopped operating in its Northern Liberties location, shortly after filing for Chapter 11 — but it now cites Philadelphia’s “new momentum” as the reason for sticking around.

The women leading Vanguard’s IT services
It’s still not easy to be a woman leader in IT, but Vanguard has been working to empower its female workforce. Not an empty claim — the women at the top testify to it.

• Temple University’s College of Engineering received a $2.5 million donation from Professor Emeritus of Electrical and Computer Engineering Brian Butz and his wife Susan, who is also an alumna. The donation will support AI research. [Temple News]
