AT&T launched a new edtech accelerator Monday, which will offer investment, mentoring and counseling to five startups.
Among the inaugural class is eduCanon, a D.C.-based video-making tool for educators founded by two Teach for America alums and a former healthcare consultant.
As part of the AT&T Aspire Accelerator program, eduCanon will receive $50,000 in investments and an additional $25,000 to cover the cost of the accelerator. It won’t have to relocate.
“These organizations are on the cutting-edge of education technology,” said AT&T Chief Sustainability Officer Charlene Lake in a press release. “Their innovations are helping students succeed in the classroom and beyond.”
