RevSite, an Arlington and Chatham, N.J.-based startup specialized in building mobile websites for small companies, closed a $2 million round in late January, CEO Jacob Garlick told Technical.ly DC.
Leesburg, Va.-based SWaN & Legend Venture Partners, which had also backed RevSite in its $100,000 seed round, is leading the deal, which we got wind of through an SEC filing.
RevSite builds “mobile and mobile-enabled websites for small businesses” and also acts as “an online marketing partner for them,” said Garlick.
The firm’s model is subscription-based: for $30 per month, “we’ll do 100 percent of the work,” he added. That includes creating and managing the website so it stays updated on new browser extensions.
Like an automaker, Garlick said, “we make different models of websites, depending on the kind of business you are.”
