There are only a few days until the Emerging Enterprise Center’s 6th Annual Delaware Entrepreneurial Summit, which takes place Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Penn Cinema on the Wilmington Riverfront. From 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., there will be talks, networking and this year’s Swim with the Sharks pitch competition.

Fun fact: Even if you can’t make it to the summit, you can vote for the Swim with the Sharks People’s Choice Award by watching short pitch videos and picking your favorite. Voting ends today, Sept. 22.

The keynote speakers will be Quintessence Group CEO Melinda F. Emerson and Eddy COO Amy Johnston. In between, there will be a day of workshops and panels about marketing, product development, attracting investors and leadership, as well as a crash course in starting a cannabis business in Delaware. Speakers include 2023 RealLIST Connector Zakiyyah Ali, Cora Castle, Malcolm Coley, Markevis Gideon and Brendan Kennealey (just to name a few).

Swim with the Sharks kicks off at 5:30 p.m., following an after-party happy hour.
