Procter and Gamble offers innovators a chance at $10,000.

Procter and Gamble is using its Innovation Challenge to offer inventors and entrepreneurs an opportunity to win $10,000 and a partnership with P&G Ventures to create, market and distribute their product. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Nov. 29.

Three finalists will be chosen to pitch their concepts to a panel of judges at the January 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Previous winners have included the team behind SAVRpack, a patented technology used to package food.

Jack Daniel’s wants to help Black small biz owners.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey has launched the MAKE IT COUNT Initiative to support Black business owners who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three Black business owners in the Greater Philadelphia and DC areas whose work reflects the flavors of three Jack Daniel’s products — that’s Tennessee Honey, Tennessee Apple and Tennessee Fire — will receive $5,000 grants. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, Nov. 30.

The City of Philadelphia built a tool to help local Black men and boys find resources.

In an effort to lower the 23% poverty rate among Black men and boys in Philadelphia, the Mayor’s Office of Black Male Engagement has launched the Black Male Resource Finder. City agencies, Black-owned businesses, community organizations, services and other resources can be found via the digital tool.

This new app helps people find public bathrooms in Philly.

Where2Go is a new app created by Philly data analyst Hugo Bucci that helps people find pubic bathrooms anywhere in the city. The app is currently only available on iPhone with Android and web-based versions on the way and has been described as “Google Maps for bathrooms.”
