Bethesda-based mobile cybersecurity company KoolSpan officially announced the appointment of Julie Holdren as COO and VP of products on Monday.

The hiring news comes as KoolSpan is seeing increased interest in security for calls and messages on mobile devices.
“The proliferation of cyber attacks on mobile devices and widespread eavesdropping, surveillance and corporate espionage campaigns have accelerated the need for secure mobile calling and text messaging solutions,” KoolSpan CEO Nigel Jones said in a statement. “Because this impacts so many users — consumers and enterprises alike — these solutions also need to be accessible across mobile platforms and usable for practically anyone.”
Indeed, leading and expanding KoolSpan’s services will be the focus on Holdren’s new roles. Holdren comes to KoolSpan with 25 years of executive experience in cybersecurity, including serving as the CEO of three of her own companies.
