It’s stakes-raising season for the advertising world, apparently.
California video advertising company TubeMogul announced this week the opening of a new D.C. office, to focus on political clients.
“Washington is poised for meaningful digital innovation in the upcoming election cycle,” TubeMogul VP of Media Mark Rotblat said in a press release Monday.
He added, “We’ve tailor-made our cross-screen buying platform to help political advertisers engage voters more effectively.”
The new office will be headed by Matthew Dybwad, a political communications consultant and adjunct professor in digital content creation at George Washington University.
Just last week, another California-based digital ad company expanded to the capital. The Rubicon Project appointed  Dallas Lawrence, a former communications staffer in the George W. Bush administration, to lead its new outpost.
