Arlington-based OmniEarth, a company that produces images for environmental research, has raised $5 million, the Washington Business Journal reports. This includes the $1.3 million round unveiled last week.
Investors include the London-based Space Angels Network. Besides seeking to launch 18 satellites into space to produce daily images of Earth, the company is also working with districts in California working to meet water conservation goals.
OmniEarth also announced Tuesday that it will be opening an office in Berkeley for its West Coast customers.
