On Wednesday, we posted a link to a Bloomberg News story about Amplify, the News Corp. company that’s making hardware and software for educators and students.
We received a note from Amplify’s chief of staff, Justin Hamilton, expressing his objections to the Bloomberg piece. Bloomberg has now published a letter to the editor from Amplify CEO Joel Klein echoing those concerns.
It opens by aping the language of the Bloomberg piece — which said Amplify’s efforts have been “riddled with technology failures” — by saying, “I believe your piece is riddled with factual errors, inconsistencies and incorrect analysis.”

Bloomberg acknowledges one error (“in the 33rd paragraph of the story,” an editor’s note reads) relating to the timing of certain events in the story.
