Who’s making moves?

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is excited about using Heat Seek to groundtruth how well landlords are abiding by building codes this winter, and he’s installing the units in some buildings he runs, according to the New York Business Journal.

Pensa is talking about turning parts of its Merge bike into standalone product, according to a post on the GrabCAD blog. We showed off the bike while it was in the middle of a national design contest.

Who’s getting buzz?

Car2Go gets a big story in Brooklyn Daily Eagle for its *yawn* impact on residents’ access to parking. (Did you pass out reading that sentence? This reporter totally passed out.)

Shyp’s opening in Industry City got covered on Crain’s. Here’s our coverage.

Zapier’s blog wrote up a video from Kickstarter’s first community manager about building a community team. (Disclosure: I wrote it.)

The latest “find someone who wants to pay money to go to the same thing as you” app, Wrevel, got written up in The Brooklyn Paper. We covered them at New York Tech Day. The story says the company is based in Greenpoint, with 15 people on staff.

Greenpoint’s FarmBox Direct is putting CSAs in the mail, according to Upstart Business Journal.

Companies: Pensa / Kickstarter
Series: Brooklyn
