Enterprise software giant SAP announced on Tuesday the addition of 150 jobs in its Newtown Square, Pa., campus, as well as a forthcoming hub in Pittsburgh which will employ 242.
The company currently has 3,305 staffers working out of its main campus in Delaware County, which serves as the German company’s U.S. headquarters.
“We’re proud to have called the Commonwealth home for nearly three decades, and we are excited to continue to expand in Pennsylvania as we grow our workforce and presence in the United States,” said in a press release Jennifer Morgan, president of SAP North America.
Per Philly.com’s Joseph DiStefano, the expansion will earn the company close to $2 million in incentives from the state government.
“Pennsylvania agreed to pay SAP $1.78 million — $600,000 in a Pennsylvania First program grant, $1.176 million in Job Creation Tax Credits — if the company expands as promised,” DiStefano writes.
