From one of the litigators—Fox Television Stations—nonetheless.
King of Prussia-based RedLasso has entered into an agreement with FTS that will give users of the video service the ability to syndicate licensed content from 27 of Fox’s regional television news programs, according to a press release from both companies.

Starting in April, content producers will be able to search, edit and embed customized clips using the company’s online editing tools. The companies will share revenue from advertisements.
RedLasso suspended access to its video service last July, when Fox and NBC Universal filed a copyright suit against the company.
RedLasso was popularized by bloggers who used the service to embed clips from major networks like CNN, Fox and ESPN without the networks’ permission. After receiving cease and desist letters in May, RedLasso established a Media Advisory board to open discussions with networks, before the suit was filed.
RedLasso CEO Al McGowan told Tech Crunch that the company has settled litigation with all of the networks, and is hoping to expand local and national content licenses.
