Vuzit launches API, plans “on-premises” version

According to Chief Technology Officer Chris Cera, customers have been clamoring for the ability to integrate Vuzit in third-party Web apps and services for some time. The demand has shifted Vuzit's focus more toward business-to-business services. The company is planning to launch an "on-premises" version that can be hosted privately, later this year.

Using the API, enterprise customers will be able to distribute documents from Vuzit by SSL connection, and have the ability to automate document viewing, thus avoiding placing sensitive documents on public URLs. The API has been in private beta for several months.
