Charity Gift Market, the ecommerce marketplace for nonprofits that Technically Philly profiled earlier this year, beat out nine other startup teams to win $1,000. Total prize money was $3,000 with $2,000 going to the participants that helped the winning team — after a little public back-and-forth before the event. (Clarification: We previously referred to the “participants that helped the winning team” as “mentors,” but there were also mentors at the event who were not on any specific team and instead helped several teams, so we changed the language.)

The winning team was the one that made the most progress over the 36-hour event at Novotorium’s headquarters in Langhorne, Pa. Charity Gift Market planned to work on improving its website, according to Novotorium’s blog.

The Not-a-Hackathon contest was the only event that remained after business incubators Seed Philly and Novotorium canceled their Entrepreneur Summer Camp programming due to low interest.

Updated 7/2/12 4:12 p.m.: For a more thorough rundown of the event, check out this Novotorium blog post.
