We just took the coolest selfie ever, thanks to Cipher Prime.
The Old City game studio hacked two Leap Motion infrared sensors and hooked them up to the system that powers the outfit’s forthcoming game, Duet, to create a trippy, futuristic selfie booth.
We gave it a try:
The booth experiments with “different ways of bending streams of light,” said cofounders Dain Saint and Will Stallwood.
You can use it Friday night at the opening of Cipher Prime’s first art show, “We’ve Traveled So Far…”, at Indy Hall. It starts at 5 p.m. and while the prints will be up all month, the selfie booth is a one-night-only kinda thing. They’ll even have a photo printer there so you can take the selfie home with you. We recommend giving it to a friend or a lover.

The exhibit is an homage to Auditorium, Cipher Prime’s first game.
“The only reason we made games was because this was so successful,” Stallwood said.
