1. Tech Cocktail’s Philadelphia Mixer & Startup Showcase

I consider the Philly tech community colleagues and friends. I would not miss an opportunity to catch up with people I know and meet people I don’t. (Thursday, April 16, 6:30-9 p.m.)

2. Arcade @ Dilworth

Lots of events Friday night, but this looks like a blast. I’ll either be in the Maker Corner at NextFab’s table or by the DJ booth. (Friday, April 17, 6-9 p.m.)

3. NextFab Open House

Stop by NextFab to meet the team, see demonstrations and tour the facility. If you haven’t seen NextFab, this is your chance to see one of the nation’s premier makerspaces in action. (Sunday, April 19, 12-3 p.m.)

4. PTW Mayoral Forum

This event is a sign that the tech industry is gaining recognition as a significant part of the Philadelphia economy. We should make sure there is a strong turn out to thank the speakers for their time and continue to build a strong relationship between the tech community and city government. StartUp PHL could be the beginning of a beautiful and lasting relationship. (Monday, April 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m.)

5. Stories from the Trenches: Avoiding the Perils and Pitfalls of Funding your Hardware Startup

This is another event we’re hosting at NextFab. Anyone interested in hardware startups should come out. A representative from Ben Franklin Technology Partners will be speaking. (Tuesday, April 21, 6-8 p.m.)

6. PTW Entrepreneur’s Expo

It’s easy to think you know all the startups on the scene, but this event will prove you wrong. I remember some awesome food trucks there last year. (Wednesday, April 22, 7-10 p.m. )

7. The Signature Event Friday

The Philly tech party of the year. I’m already looking forward to requainting with everyone I met earlier in the week. (Friday, April 24, 7:30-10 p.m.)
