This infographic argues the strengths of Philly tech for you

As a community grows, it helps to create new ways to welcome them. Technical.ly Philly made this infographic for a new Welcome page we're organizing to help new members of the Philly tech scene get acclimated.

As a community grows, it helps to create new ways to welcome them. Here’s what we’re trying to do.

We’re building out a Welcome page (tphilly.com/welcome for short), where all of us can point new friends, transplants and community members to find their own way into the broad Philadelphia tech, innovation and entrepreneurship community.

One of the newest highlights on that page is an infographic we commissioned from local interactive designer Leslie Zacharkow. Click to enlarge it below.

The focus is Philly tech business, aiming to serve as another addition to the library of resources to show why this is a place worth building a business, but our welcome page will go beyond just tech entrepreneurship, into arts, access, civic hacking and other anchors.

Our overall message here is that Philadelphia is the most affordable, resource-rich, East Coast big city tech market with talent, culture and community in excess.

Feel free to post and share the infographic widely and do share the Welcome page with those who might benefit from it. The page will continue to grow with time.
