Monetate needs to fill 60 positions by the end of the year, and they’re ready to pay a hefty bounty to anyone who can help.

If you refer someone before the end of October who Monetate eventually hires, the Conshohocken ecommerce optimization company will reward you with $5,000, said Director of Special Projects Britt Miller. In November, the bonus lowers to $4,000, and in December, $3,000. Get more details on the referral program here.

Monetate, which is no stranger to referral bonuses, is hiring positions in sales, marketing and technology. The company has grown from 131 to 187 employees in the last year, Miller said. The last time Monetate offered a bonus this high was in January 2013 during another hiring blitz.

The bonus is back up to $5,000 because of numbers and time, said spokeswoman Marifran Manzo-Ritchie.

“We have a lot of positions to fill in a short time,” she wrote in an email.

The return of the referral bonus also seems a sign that Monetate’s search for talent hasn’t eased. In April, Manzo-Ritchie told Technical.ly Philly that Monetate was hiring “all across the board,” but “not as rapidly as we’d like to.” The company actually hired Miller in part to innovate around recruiting strategies.

When asked if recruitment was a struggle, Manzo-Ritchie said that Monetate gets a lot of applicants but is choosy.

“We are looking for the best of the best in all areas, so we are exceptionally diligent in the hiring process,” she said.

The recruitment dilemma is a struggle that many growing Philly startups could relate to, we reported last spring.
