Don’t count on being able to text 9-1-1 in Philly anytime soon.

“We would have to revamp our entire system and the cost would be astronomical,” said police spokesman Lt. John Stanford to Daily News columnist Stu Bykofsky.

It doesn’t seem like we’re missing out though. Only one city in the U.S. (Durham, N.C.) has a 9-1-1 texting program and it’s hardly used, according to Bykofsky’s report.
