Relative Weather promises to give you only one, essential weather report: the weather as compared to that of yesterday.
Built by Penn senior Ayaka Nonaka, the iOS app is as minimalist as it gets. It shows you yesterday’s and today’s highs and lows, the temperature change and the current weather in your area.

Nonaka, a computer science major who also teaches iPhone Application Development at Penn, said her goal is to make things that people find useful. Her other app, Gouda, lets you store and find ideas.
Nonaka is on the board of the Dining Philosophers, Penn’s computer science club, and participated in this year’s PennApps student-run hackathon. Check out her work at the hackathon’s recent “Finishathon” here. After graduating this spring, she’ll be leaving Philly for a job at Penn-founded startup Venmo‘s San Francisco office.
