In effort to grow our community, we want to introduce you to interesting Philadelphians you might not know. Each week, we’ll speak to someone new and have that person introduce us to someone else we should know. This week: Steph Parker of Center City marketing agency Neiman.
Steph Parker is repping Philly hard on Forbes’ 30 under 30 in Marketing & Advertising list.
The community manager at Neiman was the only Philadelphian to be named on the list. Parker spends her days planning and developing social media content for brands — her clients include Sunoco, Trex and Donate Life Pennsylvania — and using analytical data to report on the social media messaging’s success.
We caught up with Parker to get some nitty gritty details and hear about her local tech scene faves.
- A/S/L? 23/f/Chinatown, but eyeing NoLibs and South Philly
- How long have you lived in Philly? Been at Neiman? I’ve lived in Philly for 3 years and worked at Neiman for 14 months.
- What’s your favorite company in the Philly tech scene? I’m a big fan of my friends at Cipher Prime. Their work is top notch and they’re really moving our local indie game scene forward.
- Introduce us to someone cool in the broad local tech space. Neiman’s VP, Innovation, George Ward. Not to sound biased, but our Neiman Labs unit here is putting out some really awesome stuff. I think the future of social media rests heavily with hacking it and turning it into more of a physical utility. That’s a lot of what we’re doing, and we’ve got some of the city’s best talent behind the scenes building it from the ground up.
Check back for our next installment featuring George Ward, Neiman’s VP, Innovation.
