Gift of Love: Southwork band shoots music video on Android Galaxy phone [VIDEO]

This South Philly crew says Merry Christmas with a holiday song featuring a banging trumpet line

In the spirit of the holidays, we present you local band Southworks music video for “Gift of Love,” shot completely on an Android Galaxy phone.

On tenor saxophone is Tony Trovarello (or just plain old Tony Trov) of local web comic fame. The video was shot in deep South Philly, Trov said, “in St. Monica’s neighborhood” — the parish west of Broad, south of Snyder. Trov has been playing with Southwork for about a year and a half but said the band members are all old friends.

Watch the video below (the trumpet line is bangin’), and check ’em out on Bandcamp here.
