In the last decade of Fishtown’s commercial corridor revitalization, Girard Avenue largely changed first but it’s Frankford Avenue that is changing faster. So though Fishtown was already home to web design firms, it’s nicely symbolic that its newest, biggest company has set up shop on that narrower, more human-scale thoroughfare.
At a holiday party Thursday night, O3 World hosted the official unveiling of its new headquarters in suite three of 1339 Frankford Avenue, above a hairdresser and a tattoo parlor in one of a handful of new, prominent development projects in that corner of Fishtown.

The main cluster of work stations
The new space is 5,000 square feet housing the firm’s now 16 employees, says Scandone. The firm has the option to also lease out an additional 2,000 square feet connected to the back of their existing space.
In addition to the main event and lobby space, there is a main cluster of work stations, a smaller shared office for project managers, three private offices (for Scandone, partner Mike Gadsby and operations manager Gloria Bell), a prominent loft conference room, a smaller breakout room, an elevator shaft-turned-quiet work space, a kitchen, a billiards and dart board space and other common areas.
There is a pool table and a nearby dart board.
From its launch some seven years ago, O3 was based out of industrial chic offices in the mixed use Piazza complex of Northern Liberties. Though it was nearly a similar 5,000 square feet, the large, narrow office was designed for a smaller six to seven-person staff, with large kitchen, lobby and conference space.
The move represents more flexible space and a rapidly growing commercial corridor, said Scandone.
