VisionMine wants to bridge the divide between corporations and the fledgling startups that have the technology to solve those corporations’ business problems.

A new venture from Robin Hood Ventures executive director Ellen Weber, VisionMine has been in stealth mode for about a year and launched last month. The idea behind the company, headquartered in Englewood, N.J. where Weber’s cofounder Coley Brown is based, is that bigger corporations don’t always have access to or know how to find new startups that could be useful to their business needs. VisionMine helps make those connections.

The venture grew out of successful consulting engagements, said Weber, who’s based in Philly. The team is rounded out by cofounder and CEO Brown, who’s also the president and founder of IT consulting company CTB Consulting, and two other staffers.
