Geeks on a Train: Baltimore techies take field trip to Philly

Baltimore's own tech scene is paying us a little visit.

Baltimore’s own tech scene is paying us a little visit.

Be on your best behavior, OK, Philly? That means bragging about our universities, startups and government open data strategy. We’re only kind of kidding — we’ve got to show Technically Baltimore what’s up.

In a partnership between the Greater Baltimore Tech Council (GBTC) and Technical.ly (yes, that’s Technically Philly/Baltimore), a busload of designers, coders and entrepreneurs based in Baltimore are shipping out on Nov. 16 to see what Philly’s tech scene has to offer. The trip is part of GBTC’s Geeks on a Train field trip series. They’ll stop at the University City Science Center, First Round Capital and more.

At 4 p.m., we’ll be hosting a speed networking and tech Quizzo session at Center City incubator Seed Philly so the Baltimore and Philly communities can collide.
