Cell phone triangulation hardware-maker TruePosition has won a patent infringement case against Andrew Corp., which sold its Geometrix wireless location system, which a judge ruled had violated the patent, in 2007. The company won a $43 million judgement, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
Startup event promotor TECH cocktail stopped by Philly last week and featured some of DreamIT’s startups while techies shmoozed.
Jersey’s TrapCall, which unmasks blocked calls, is opening up invites to beta test its new mobile applications.
FundingPost is hosting a national angel investment and venture capital pitch contest. Deadline is August 30, young startup Jedi. All entries receive a copy of FP’s e-book “How to Raise your First Million from Angel Investors.” No promises on the 10th million.
Social game developer OMGPOP has partnered with myYearBook to create real-time multiplayer games for the proprietary platform, Social Times reports. OMG gets over 1 million game-plays per day, though its titles do not appear on Facebook. Eat your heart out, Farmville.
