It took five days for the deal between the two regional mobile technology companies to be finalized, announced and now celebrated.
“It’s about people and the chance to join forces with well-respected entrepreneurs and innovators who share a common vision,” Suzanne Harris of PhindMe told Technically Philly.
Details of the deal continue to become clear.

Collegeville-based Motivas, which was founded around technology that connected hotels with their guests through mobile devices, acquired both team and technology of PhindMe, bringing the team to 15, though the purchased price has remained undisclosed. PhindMe CEO Chuck Sacco has become Movitas’ vice president of sales and business development, and PhindMe chief operating officer, and Doug Bellenger has become Movitas vice president of products.
Motivas has also named a new CEO: Keith Forshew, formerly COO of StarCite, a Center City meeting-planning management company, as the Philadelphia Business Journal first reported.
Plans for PhindMe to move from its home at Drexel University’s Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship to Conshohocken are still planned for the first quarter of 2010. Motivas will maintain its current headquarters, according to the Business Journal.
“Movitas provides an opportunity for us to bring our technology to a broader of range of enterprise level customers. Our companies offer complementary resources,” Harris said. “We feel we have a more powerful offering for our customers when these are combined as one.”
