- The Associated Press reports that Comcast spent $3.3 million lobbying Congress in 2Q. That total, which included working legislators on executive pay, sports programming and more, is roughly less than a seventh of CEO Brian Robert’s annual pay.
- The Inquirer’s Bob Fernandez reports that a new survey ranks Pennsylvania the state with just the 13th average fastest available Internet speeds. Delaware and New Jersey — two far more urbanized states — were ranked No. 1 and No. 3 respectively. In reference to the report, Comcast made defense of its desire to boost speeds in the Commonwealth.
- E-Week reports that FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has said his agency will enforce its net neutrality standards, even as Comcast takes their doubts of the government group’s authority on the matter.
