Delaware Technical and Community College is making a change to its 1 Million Cups program schedule. The startup network meetings will now be held monthly instead of weekly, on a first, second or third Wednesday morning of the month, depending on the campus. Dover meets the first Wednesday of the month, Wilmington meets the second Wednesday of the month and Georgetown meets the third Wednesday of the month.
“We are still providing opportunities almost weekly as we stagger the Wednesdays,” said Rachel Anderson, Assistant Director of Workforce Development and Community Education at DTCC.
1MC is a national organization developed by the Kauffman Foundation. Meetings feature one or two early-stage startups presenting their companies to an audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors. Each founder presents for six minutes, followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session with the audience.
The events are free and open to all.
