If you’re starting a business (or have recently started one) and haven’t yet taken advantage of the Emerging Enterprise Center’s offerings, Dec. 7 is a good opportunity to go in, check it out and gather some valuable information.
Open for Business is a free two-hour business development session where existing and future startups can meet officials with a host of government, private and nonprofit agencies. Collectively, those groups provide a range of services from helping startups advance their business models and technology, reach potential customers, find a suitable location, land government contracts, secure low-interest loans, meet state regulatory requirements and generally mentor entrepreneurs striking out on their own for the first time.
The event will be held from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at the EEC, located at 920 Justison St. on the Riverfront, next to the cranes on Dravo Plaza. Walk-in welcome, registration suggested.
