During Delaware Innovation Week, Wilmington Web Devs had their first meetup and about 12 people showed up for this lunchtime meetup at coworking space The Mill.
“Room was split 50/50 between those familiar with JS Promises and associated libraries. I think everyone learned at least one new thing,” said co-organizer Thomas Marks.
Marks mentioned future plans with fellow cofounder Matt Eckman for collaboration with other organizations such as Open Data DE and possibly even creating a project for meetup attendees to work on and learn as a group.
The next meetup will feature programming language Python’s Flask framework. Why Flask? According to Full Stack Python, “Flask is easy to get started with as a beginner because there is little boilerplate code for getting a simple app up and running.”
Sounds like a great way to start learning Python on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at noon.
