Mark Weidner is the newest face at The Archer Group: He was hired this week as the agency’s chief technology officer.
He’ll oversee front-end and back-end development and focus on implementing things like data-driven global applications, content management systems, customer relationship management, mobile apps, ecommerce and multi-channel online promotions.
“Given our growth, and the increasingly complex nature of the builds we’re being entrusted with, the time was right to bring in someone like Mark,” said Todd Miller, Archer’s CXO and co-owner, in a release.
Weidner was previously the vice president and group director of technology at Digitas Health, where he led global marketing technology teams. He has more than 15 years’ experience in software development and technology consulting for Fortune 500 companies.
He said he’s excited about his new role and that Archer’s mission to do meaningful work aligned with his.
“It’s more than just about embracing new technology — although that’s part of it,” he said in a release. “It’s also about finding innovative ways to apply that technology to solve real marketing challenges.”
