NextFab, the “gym for innovators” that helped coalesce a community of makers in Philadelphia, is discussing partnerships with organizations in and around the city of Wilmington.
The makerspace is considering opening a location here.
“NextFab is interested in helping to support Wilmington’s innovators and the overall prosperity of the city,” NextFab President Evan Malone writes in an intro to a new survey the company is circulating.
Take the survey
“Your response to this survey will help us understand your interests and needs and help us determine the right approach and timing to serve the Wilmington community,” Malone adds.
High-tech gear at the Philadelphia makerspace has helped launch a bevy of local startups, including the makers of bioprinters and iPhone-based diagnostics labs, among other artistic efforts, too.
The for-profit space provides access to technologies and “personal empowerment and workforce development through extensive technical training,” according to NextFab officials.
